Talk with F.O.B.?s (friends of Bloomberg)
Tammy Lee, 2006 IP candidate for Congress, will moderate a discussion between Meet-Up participants and Jacquiline Salit, editor of The Neo-Independent magazine, who will be joining our group by teleconference from New York.
Salit, along with Nancy Ross and the Committee for a Unified Independent Party, were instrumental in helping Bloomberg gain dual ballot access for NYC Mayor both as a Republican and Independent. The Independents gave Bloomberg his margin of victory in the Mayoral contest. As many of you know, Bloomberg recently revoked his Republican affiliation and is now an independent.
Salit will bring a national perspective about the Bloomberg candidacy. Then, we?ll talk about what we can do locally to help bolster this effort. You?ll want to be part of this exciting grassroots movement!

If Bloomberg does decide to run and seeks our endorsement, we need to have the resources in our State Party to to be in a position to help back Bloomberg and kick-start this national movement. To help with this, beverages will be available at the event as a part of a ?fun-draiser? for the party.
We are asking all Meet-up attendees to please consider writing a check at the event for $50 as part of the Minnesota Political Campaign Refund (PCR) program. You give us $50, the state will give you it back in just a few weeks! It?s the gift that keeps on giving (and helping us put forth exciting, great candidates, like Peter Hutchinson, Tammy Lee and others!).
